بخاطر هوای بد مجبور شدیم پیک نیک رو موکول کنیم به یه تاریخ دیگه

Hold off =>to delay doing something until a later time = put off



The control room is "walled off" by soundproof glass.
اتاق کنترل با یک تیغه ( دیوار) شیشه ای عایق صدا، از دیگر قسمتها جدا شده است

wall off ==>to keep one area or room separate from another, by building a wall



He made a mistake but I don't "hold it against him" - we all make mistakes.
اون اشتباه کرد ولی من از این اشتباه بر علیهش استفاده نمیکنم . همه ما اشتباه میکنیم

*Hold sth against sb*= > to continue to dislike someone or not forgive them because of something bad they have done in the past

back up =>to block traffic so that cars are stopped or moving very slowly for a certain distance behind the problem

ساعتها قلابی بودن اما می خواست به عنوان پوما بندازه بهمون

* pass sb/sth off as sth*==>to make people think that someone or something is another person or thing



I can’t "put up" with this situation anymore
دیگه نمیتونم این وضعیت رو تحمل کنم

Put up :to accept an unpleasant situation or person without complaining
